Welcome to the virtual King Records Experience!

King Records, in Cincinnati, Ohio, was one of the birthplaces of rock’n’roll music.  The studio was a unique example of musical and artistic collaboration, racial diversity in the workplace, and the vertical integration business model.

The King Studios Education initiatives, in collaboration with the community of Evanston, will develop educational tools that bring the important stories of King into classrooms, community, and civic spaces. The Traveling Suitcases and King lesson plans use the people, processes, and narratives of King to teach multiple subjects to youth, engaging them in not only the past, but the present and future of King Records.

Browse this site to learn more and explore resources on the history of King Records, the people who worked there, and the communities where the studio was founded.
